What caused my high cholesterol?

An unexpectedly high cholesterol test result is no reason to worry about the things you did or didn’t do. Instead, look for areas where you can start making small but meaningful improvements.

You can review the suggestions in earlier lessons and try to:

  • eat more plant-based foods
  • cut down on sugar and saturated fat
  • incorporate more exercise into each day
  • quit smoking
  • limit or avoid alcohol
